Organizational Review Committee

The Organization Review Committee (ORC for short) has a range of roles related to MSOE’s student organizations.

Here are the required roles of ORC as defined by the SGA constitution:

  • Review all paperwork submitted by organizations whishing to become recognized origination, and make recommendations to the SGA Senate.

  • Review the constitutions of any already recognized organization wishing to modify their constitution.

  • Perform an “organizational judicial review” to help resolve any inter or intra organization issues.

  • Manage the assignment of offices, cabinets and storage areas used by fully recognized organizations.

ORC also does the following items:

  • Help organizations through the SGA approval process.

  • Help organizations with understanding university polices

  • Recognize defunct organizations and inform the SGA Senate and the Student Activities Department of this.

  • Maintain the list of recognized student organizations.

  • Address any concerns organizations might have.

  • Work as a liaison between student organizations and the SGA Senate and MSOE administration.
