Liaisons

Facilities / Housekeeping Liaison
The purpose of the facilities and housekeeping liaison is to work with maintenance on minor maintenance and structural problems brought to SGA’s attention.  For example, if students see a need for increased lighting in areas of the third floor of the CC building, or feel that buildings are too dusty or not clean, the facilities / housekeeping liaison will look into these issues. 

Public Safety Liaison
The public safety liaison is responsible for communicating all requests and complaints regarding security.  An example would be requesting increased lighting in parking lots or more cameras around campus to decrease theft.  This liaison will work with the public safety department to help keep MSOE a safe community.   

Library Liaison
The library liaison(s) are responsible for working with the library staff to give student opinion on the aesthetics and literary materials of the MSOE Walter Schroeder Library.  This could include new furniture ideas, fielding complaints about the library to SGA, and improving the usage of our library.

Housing / RHA Liaison
The Housing Liaison is responsible for communicating ideas and concerns raised about the residence halls at MSOE to the housing department.  This person would direct these issues-such as elevators not working, the overnight guest policies, laundry machine issues, etc. to the housing staff.  The Housing Liaison is also required to attend RHA meetings, or send a replacement in their absence. 

Food Service Liaison 
The Food Service Liaison is responsible for communicating requests, comments and complaints about food service received by students.  The Food Service Liaison is also responsible for attending food service meetings held at Roscoe’s approximately three times each year.

Retention Liaison
The retention liaison works with the faculty retention committee to offer opinions and ideas on the retention of students, especially freshmen, to work to increase enrollment at MSOE.

CCSD Liaison
The CCSD liaison is responsible for communicating technology questions or concerns to CCSD.  This liaison is also responsible for attending Computer Usage Committee meetings (which discuss software for the technology program and throughout campus) and Student Technology Committee meetings (which discuss the technology program and future notebook models).
